The inspiration for my art emerges from the experience of being in the outdoor world.
Walking allows one to be exposed to, as well be as receptive to, new ideas and novel ways of thinking. Being immersed in an open space becomes the catalyst for imagination and hence a pathway for creativity.
A space to walk is a space to think.
Psychogeography, the impact of the physical environment on our psyche, is fundamental to my practice, as I explore the liminal spaces at the fringe – forgotten edge-lands that have a strange beauty of their own.
