Karen Klyne

I reside in Gloucestershire and started my art career teaching ceramics to children in a Forces school in Western Germany. Over the years and having travelled widely I now paint in oils and mixed media exploring colour and techniques. I like to push the boundaries, painting the abstract form. Having spent my formative years on the Norfolk coast the sea and landscapes have influenced my work and that is why a lot of work involves water. I do also enjoy painting people enjoying the sea and the sunshine in warmer locations!

My large painting ‘Domino’ was inspired by my granddaughter’s horse. I have tried to capture his temperament and energy using my own style and colour palette. I also produce mugs, latte mugs, white silky cushions, place mats coasters and water bottles. Orders for any of these products are welcome.

My new collection called Art Neuvo is themed on acrylic colour metallic effect also exploring shimmering lights. They look good as a ‘theme’ or display for any setting.
